The Harmonators

A graduate of the Australian Institute of Music’s contemporary voice department, Rae Moody from Sydney, is an artist committed to honing her craft, developing her career and creating a name for herself in the Australian Country Music Industry.

Rae is one half of “The Harmonators”, an up an coming Country Duo, who released off their self titled debut Ep in January of this year. The first single ‘I Forget’, a catchy love song co - written by Rae, secured a spot in the CMC top 20 and the Top 100 Country Hits chart.

A seasoned live performer Rae has been a regular on the Sydney live music circuit and has performed as part of a Duo, a Soloist and Backing Vocalist at many venues including the prestigious Basement, and The Vanguard.

The past few years has also seen Rae become a regular at Country Music Festivals on Australian east coast. She has performed at the Tamworth Country Music Festival, Urban Country Music Festival in Caboolture QLD, and the Gympie Muster.

Not only an accomplished lead vocalist, with a distinctive vocal tone, Rae also has a great ear for harmonies and has a developed ability to blend them and her backing vocals to match any lead. Dedicated to constantly developing and improving her voice, Rae has spent the past 6 years attending vocal coaching with Leigh McRae, Director of Vocal Studies at Vocal Mastery.

A practising songwriter, in February 2006, Rae attended Songcamp in Toowoomba QLD, to help further develop her song writing skills. Not satisfied with just being a highly skilled singer, in the past few years Rae has also been investing in Guitar tutoring, which has seen a vast improvement in the diversity of her playing. The past couple of months Rae has also begun to expand her repertoire of instruments. She recently purchased a Banjo and has begun lessons which she finds challenging but thoroughly enjoys.

With Rae’s inclusion in the 2007 Country College of Music, widely acknowledged as a launching pad for many highly successful artists, this is one talented singer/ songwriter with a bright future ahead of her.
